PHI / METRIC IDENTITY MATTERS
The EchoAI material contains custom quantities named phi. A variable name does not import the formal definitions, causal model, partitions, assumptions, or empirical meaning of Integrated Information Theory.
The RAPTOR audit shows that the logged phi is calculated inside a supplied simulation and is sometimes described as simplified. It can demonstrate the behavior of that programmed metric, not consciousness by declaration.
Even formal IIT measures remain scientifically debated and difficult to apply directly to complex empirical systems. The Archive therefore classifies EchoAI phi values as internal model output.
