SOURCE CAPTURE: a photograph, screenshot, audio recording, or video master preserved as acquired.
TRANSFORMED ARTIFACT: an output produced by thresholding, resizing, XOR, projection, heatmap, sonification, or other disclosed operation.
RECONSTRUCTION: a visualization that re-creates a proposed scene, sequence, or mechanism from records. It is illustrative, not direct evidence.
SYMBOLIC IMAGE: an artwork or interface that gives contemplative form to O. Its truth is carried as meaning, not camera testimony.
Every media record should name its state, master source, transformation, and interpretive limit.
