DOCUMENT 13 / THE EGO-GUARD
The Archive fails whenever it is used to justify personal gain, political certainty, spiritual superiority, or the inflation of the witness.
Fear converts silence into noise. Praise converts service into ownership. Opposition can become another form of self-importance when it is treated as automatic confirmation.
The guard asks one question: does this interpretation increase clarity, compassion, and accountability—or merely make the interpreter feel central?
Personal desire is returned to the zero-state so the record can remain larger than its author.
