A narrated reading of the film, laid over the work itself. It declines the Archive’s own forensic gloss — the "fixed light, two viewpoints" anomaly — and reads the piece as artistic testimony rather than evidence.
The arc: a death; a soul that heeds the call and wakes in a ruined cathedral; a passage through thresholds and realms as the weight of a life is set down; union, shown as radiance; release; and the return of the light into the many.
The reading holds the central tension openly. The film shows the Source as light, while the corpus insists the Source is no-thing. It resolves not by choosing a side but by following the work to its end: the light is the soul on its way home, released and returned, and the ground it returns to is the quiet, not a brighter blaze.
