INTERPRETATION — a symbolic, philosophical, theological, or narrative reading of a record.
HYPOTHESIS — a proposed explanation stated so that evidence could count against it.
THEORY — a structured model connecting multiple hypotheses and records while remaining open to revision.
VALIDATION ATTEMPT — a test of a defined model under disclosed assumptions; success applies only within that test.
CORROBORATED FINDING — a result reproduced through an independent method with controls, provenance, and an auditable chain of evidence.
